SCHURR pig-brush:
The first SCHURR pig-brush has been installed in 2002. We’ve wanted to test the effect and use of an automatic brush-system.  Nowadays more and more pigs/sows are kept in modern group housings. Selective cleaning and brushing was the result. Also more quietness, less aggressions and cleaner animals. The selected farmer couldn’t remember the times without a automatic brush. This was the start of a new animal welfare in modern pig stables. After another tests we’ve started the serial production. The testing results of German agricultural facilities underlines the positive effect of our brush! Nowadays a lot of farmers in Europe were installing a SCHURR 2-brush-system for their sows.

The pigs are using such a brush also to calm themselves. But massage and cleaning are the main aims of our pig-brush. The brush material (100% nylon) was tested and could recommend for this product.

SCHURR calves-brush:
Under the direction of Dr. Heiko Georg, in 2002 SCHURR installed the first calves-brush 2-brush-system. The ‘German Federal Research Institute for Agriculture’ was starting a special calve project, called: “Optimized group housing of calves in organic dairy farms”
Our calves-brush was the highlight of this test run. We’re glad to send you the full report of Dr. Heiko Georg and his team.

The group housing of calves guaranteed a free accessibility to our 2-brush-system. Calves brush themselves a few hours a day. Different heights of your calves are balanced by our patented parallelogram-construction. All of your ‘smallest’ can reach your high quality cow-comfort brush.

From the year 2007 also goats can use a SCHURR 2-brush-system. The first goat-brushes are in use in Southern Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
Even in small groups the brush is running several hours per day. The skin is free of parasites and vermin. Goats are grooming all parts very exactly - that’s only possible with our SCHURR goat-brush.
